On the Dream SMP, MrBeast Just Gave Away $100,000- Here’s Who Won

YouTuber and philanthropist MrBeast is setting the bar high when it comes to internet challenges.

The founder is known for his outlandish competitions and prizes, comfortably doling out to a few lucky fans up to $100,000 at a time. Soon after unveiling his new restaurant chain, MrBeast did it again.

Another big giveaway was held on Dec. 28 by MrBeast, this time in Minecraft. In the Dream SMP (a Minecraft server exclusively for Dream Team members and their friends), the YouTuber hid $100,000 in gift cards to numerous shops and restaurants, challenging all Dream Team members to find the grand prize.

Who Won The Dream SMP Challenge Of MrBeast?

Anyone following MrBeast knows that for days, his challenges will easily go on. The influencer had previously held a Finger on the Game challenge, where players had to keep their finger on their phone until the last one stood. This challenge ended after 70 hours in a four-way tie, with the winners dividing the grand prize.

In addition to the numerous other giveaway videos he frequently makes on his channel, this challenge is to donate to either his followers or several nonprofits.

On Twitter, MrBeast revealed the challenge, tweeting out that he had concealed the cards in the server and challenged those with access to the server to find them.

“I hid $100,000 worth of gift cards on the DreamSMP!” he tweeted. “Good luck!”

The value of $100,000 was divided in different amounts through a few different gift cards, ranging from $10,000 for some stores to $1,000 for others.

Unlike some of his other giveaways, only members of the Dream Team SMP could win the Dream SMP challenge. Dream, Sapnap, ItsAlyssa, Quackity, Tubbo, Skeppy, and many others were included.

Like most of the challenges presented by MrBeast, many expected this one to last for hours. Others expected the challenge to last more than a day. But only a few hours into the challenge, the gift cards had already been found by one of the Dream Team members.

Who Is Tubbo, The Challenge-Winning Player?

The $100,000 Minecraft challenge from MrBeast was won by Minecraft creator Tubbo, whose real name is Toby Smith. Toby, a 17-year-old English creator, is close friends with fellow Dream Team creator TommyInnit and has only recently started to gain attention in the world of gaming.

Early on in the challenge, Toby happened to come across the cards and celebrated gleefully on a live stream. The gift cards were concealed in a cave on the Minecraft server, with five distinct chests holding the card codes.

Worth thousands of dollars, the streamer ended up winning gift cards for Best Buy, GameStop, Taco Bell, Airbnb, Apple, Walmart, and other major retailers.

Toby announced he intended to give away the cards during a live stream on his Twitch channel in celebration of winning, giving back the wealth to his fans instead of keeping it for himself.

Although Toby has been congratulated by Dream Team members and MrBeast’s own team, he has not yet been officially declared as the winner.
