Joelle Joanie AKA JoJo Siwa (17) is best known for her participation in ‘Dance Moms’ alongside her mother Jessalynn Siwa (46) and has released loads of child-appropriate board games with the help of Nickelodeon TV. Siwa has basically managed to create her own empire over the years including, releasing products such as ‘Bust A Bow’ and ‘Live To Dance’. Besides the success of her previous product releases, her newest board game launch ‘JoJo’s Juice’ has received massive backlash from loads of parents online. Inappropriate Questions And Sexual Language Detected
It’s pretty safe to say that kids and teenagers all over the world would be able to recognize JoJo Siwa’s larger-than-life appearance from a mile away. And, of course, her sparkly, energetic and super likeable image was used to promote and advertise her newest product release – a board game in which children are supposed to take turns and answer silly questions.
Although JoJo’s Juice was rated as appropriate for six-year-olds, it soon came to light that the playing cards included were anything but silly. The cards even went as far as using sexual language and describing unfitting situations. For example, one question card dared the children to reveal if they have ever left the house without wearing underwear remarking that a bathing suit doesn’t count. Very age-appropriate, huh?
Mom Exposes Siwa’s New Game On Tik Tok
As soon as the game was made available, a video emerged online with six-year-old Tinslee’s mom Heather Watson expressing her concerns regarding JoJo’s game. Heather’s first Tik Tok video went viral overnight and received massive media attention due to the images included. Watson’s first upload featured JoJo’s playing cards and the surprisingly unsuitable questions targeted at small and impressionable children. See Heathers Tik Tok video below:
People were shocked to see the gaming cards and some even called out the worried mother for photoshopping the cards to attract the media’s attention. To prove everyone that the cards were, in fact, real, Watson posted a second Tik Tok clip saying and we quote:’’ If I was going to photoshop those photos I’d probably made sure that my fingernail was looking a bit better too.’’ Watch Heather responding to the photoshopping allegations below:
JoJo Claps Back At The Allegations And Blames Nickelodeon
The issues concerning JoJo’s Juice were quickly brought to JoJo’s attention as the social media personality turned to her Tik Tok to clap back at the allegations in question. Siwa said and we quote:’’ When companies make these games they don’t run every aspect by me. I had no idea of the types of questions that were on these playing cards. When I first saw this, I was super upset with how gross these questions were. So I brought it to Nickelodeon’s attention immediately.’’ Siwa’s full video response can be seen below:

JoJo made sure to add that Nickelodeon has been working very hard since learning about the issue. She also remarked that the game is now being pulled out from stores and online. JoJo’s supporters, including six-year-old Tinslee’s mom Heather, were super happy with the way Siwa chose to address the inappropriate board game situation. See what JoJo’s fans had to say below:
Defended By Former Dance Couch Abby Lee Miller
The seventeen-year-old social media influencer was also defended by her former Dance Moms dance teacher Abby Lee Miller (55). Although JoJo never received any special treatment from Abby, both have remained good friends since Siwa’s very last appearance on the show back in the year 2016.
Abby gave her opinion on the current situation under one of JoJo’s latest Instagram posts saying, and we quote:’’ It’s so difficult to control everything! People do lots of things without permission! Not to worry – You will get through this like a champ and learn to make sure it never happens again!’’ See Abby Lee Miller’s full comment below:
Should Nickelodeon take full responsibility for releasing Jojo’s Juice without considering removing the age-inappropriate questions included? Have your say in the comments section – we’d love to know how you feel!
